Man, I’m kinda mad that I haven’t seen Iron Man yet. I rarely have time cuz I work a lot, and when I do have free time, no one wants to go with me cuz everybody’s seen it already :(.

As for Speed Racer, I’m hesitant to want to see it. It’s just not the same as what I’m used to seeing when I was a kid, watching the cartoon.

In honesty though, as long as I see the new Indiana Jones on opening night, then I pretty much don’t have to see any other movie for the rest of the year.

Except maybe Dark Knight. But that’s it.

Oooo! There’s two by me! One in Baldwin Park (kinda sketchy area), and one in… Claremont I think. The Claremont one only has the tinny sounding little speaker you attach to your window though, and it’s not usually loud enough. I’d rather go to the Baldwin Park one, cuz they have radio frequencies you can tune in to to listen to the movie.

Problem is, my car got broken into some months ago, and they stole my radio (among other things, including photography equipment =/) so I wouldn’t have a radio to tune into, haha.

lol the only one I’m looking forward to is The Dark Knight and then Iron Man on DVD. I’ve actually been hearing good things about Speed Racer though. That wasn’t expected.

I am usually a medium to large tshirt depending on how tight I want the shirt. I got a large one and its pretty form fitting like most medium shirts are(so ordering up=good unless you like tight shirts)…its only tight on one area (sux to be a girl)…My boyfriend got large also, because they didn’t have XL at the time, and he’s been wearing it to sleep to stretch it out.

BTW loving the changing scenery in the vid, and the song was a happy get lost sorta thing. I like that type to start the day :)

Y’know, it’s funny, there’s 41 comments, which is impressive, but it’s all from the same five people which…is great. It makes me smile.

Nice song, solidly enjoyable video. Although, Kina, you’re aided by the fact that even though you’re apparently playing the most popular songs out there right now I live under a rock and so they’re new to me.

If I get this job this week, I shall have to buy the heart-hands shirt (far and away the coolest). And if the stars really align, I may even be an hour’s drive from NYC on Saturday. That’d be neat…

Sadly I have not listened to Rihanna in a while, but Kina you did an amazing job on this cover and now I know how to play it on my guitar from your video. The Street team sounds like fun I can’t wait to join and be involved, I already told all my friends and family about you though so I don’t know who else to tell about your greatness. I have a request for a whole video that Kina should do, I think Kina should make a whole “cribs” episode where she walks around her house and gives a tour of her huge house, because in every video she is somewhere new, it’s like her house is in some magical wonderland where her house just grows new rooms every week. Or maybe Mama G and Dr G are super rich and can keep expanding their house. Has anyone else thought of this? Or am I just weird?

We wish we were super rich (we’d have a big house party and invite all of you!). All I can say is that we strive for a unique environment….that’s why you see walls of every color behind Kina in the videos. And unfortunately, a cribs episode will never happen. We are SO not prepared to clean house. :P

the beauty of wishing is tantalizing. its the notion that you could fancy a myriad of things such as wealth, peace, success, etc. and that can never be taken away from you. its the belief that it is possible for such things to be within reach. its is more and less conceivable under certain circumstances due to the norms of the daily lifestyle but all in all it shares a common hunger; a common craving. you say you wish to be super rich so that we could have a big house party and theres no doubt in mind you could if you wanted to. at the same time we understand everyones got other things to do, places to be, and yadda yadda “to each his own”? haha i do admire that phrase miko.

the important thing Mama G, is to know that the lack or lack thereof, if any…for lack of a better description, the budget to throw such a super duper party for everyone is offset by the richness of your unique environment, your beautiful family, and the unity of one grannis brain. i think i speak for everyone when i say that the loving character and positive principles that you and Dr G portray, and have instilled into your daughters, is very touching and exemplary. makes me miss my parents even more…yall are some cool, rad folks.

i guess i should end my yapping by letting you know some things go unforseen. things that can be a pleasant surprise. you never know whether someone has been taken aback by your kindness so much so that youve got a big inheritance waiting in their will in token of appreciation. anyways, im most likely not telling you something you dont already know…just food for thought. its like they say all the time, “be careful what you wish for”, but in this case keep wishing…you may just end up with the means to make it happen.

My sister and her boyfriend graduated from USC today, that main ceremony was crazy I could barely see anything. The other ceremony for the majors was interesting, I was amazed at what some of those people were taking as major’s and minor’s. The heat was killing me though, at least I didn’t pass out like some not so lucky others. I wonder what Kina’s minor’s were?

what a night. amazing hearing you live. perfect! i thoroughly enjoyed all of it. you’re so comfortable on stage, especially with us “east coaster people”. haha.

I remember thinking “wow, she sounds exactly like she does online”. Then I realized, even though I have your CDs and all, I’m mostly very familiar with your online content of semi-live performed blogs. So all was perfect (not to mention you’re just a great musician). Nothing is worse than going to your favorite artist’s show and your favorite song wasn’t that good live. Absolutely wasn’t the case (nor did i expect it to be).

It was really a pleasure meeting you, finally. Hope you enjoy the stuff! I’ll send you our fun pics tomorrow = )

i went to the concert last night too! It was so much fun and i’m so glad i finally got to meet kina. I tried to take a few videos but the speakers were too loud so the sound didn’t come out right :( I will post pictures soon though! hope you come again soon. . . lotsa love from the east coast xx

i was the guy in the corner with the camera set up. I’ll be uploading the videos soonly (if it’s cool with kina of course). I am missing one or two songs though because I had to switch tapes (i know i know, come prepared).

I was there. It was really fun. Navigating NYC wasn’t so fun, but it was worth it. Cool to be sitting cross-legged* a few feet from the stage and think “She exists beyond the internet. Who knew?” I chatted a bit with Jesse the shirt-selling favor-doer (how he described himself) and said bye to Misa, but I must say, it’s strange to see internet people in real life.

Oh, and Kina, if you really want back-up can-can dancers, you could always just call for volunteers :)

*this totally supports my theory that Kina is half kindergarten teacher. And I mean that in the best way

I disagree… KROQ is not all “Nine Inch Nails” and bleeding-edge stuff. They mix it up quite a bit. Think Jack Johnson, or Death Cab… I think quite a few of Kina’s songs could fit in with their playlist.

Too Soon, Genevieve, Cambridge…. you get the feel.

Most importantly though, they have a huge audience.
