half of my heart
big shout out and thank you to perez hilton for sharing my new cover with john mayer this morning on twitter!
in other news, happy thanksgiving everyone!
i just got back from running the dana point turkey trot 5k. it was great! but i find myself in the same condition i am in every year, feeling incredibly ill due to running much harder than i should’ve… ha. i just can’t help it! once i’m in race mode, all those cross country and track memories flood back in and i think i’m in top running shape again. but no. hope my tummy finds some peace before the big dinner tonight!
regarding merch…
just a recap of what i said in the video… after 2 years of processing and shipping all of my merch orders myself, next month i will be passing on this job to a company that handles this sort of thing. it will be a sad thing to see go, because i loved feeling that much more connected with everyone, but in the end it will be good for us all, i will spend more time making music, and people will actually get their orders on time :/
as of around dec 11th the transition will happen, so if you would like a personalized thank you note from me or would like to request a signed cd, do so before the 11th! to request, make a note to me in the “additional instructions” section on your paypal order, or immediately send me an email after ordering with your order # and the request!

Happy thanksgiving back to you. they don’t celebrate it here, but Saturday is Eid Kabir, so, since I’m giving thanks for the American holiday, I hope, in a reciprocal gesture, you’ll find a sheep and kill it for Eid :)
Other than that, love the song (though I’m unclear as to the conclusion the speaker comes to. I guess that’s in keeping with theme?), love the cover, good work as usual.
Oh, If Misa and Emi are with you for thanksgiving, do a video with them! It doesn’t have to be polished. Just jam for 20 minutes and record it. Truly, the jam portion of “Why Should the Fire Die” is the best part

Kina! :) I enjoyed this video very much. :)
I’m so entirely thankful that:
1.you’re here; this little life of mine would not be at all the same without you and Kinerds and your parents and sisters. Such incredible blessings, you know? :D
2. you can sing; because, for real, the amount of times I have been blown away, or, excited, or comforted, or happy, or sad (a good sad) as a result of your music is… sheesh. I don’t even know, but I’m thankful for that number.
3. you’re funny; you just are.
Happy Thanksgiving, Kina. :)
And, thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you for being amongst the few who can save the day. :)

Anything John Mayer is an instant win! Another great video showing all the qualities I love what you are for:
Your sincere humbleness, yet shocking awesomeness and talent, marinated by a great confidence and smile inspired by a lovely family (ive met two on sb!) and your supporting kinerds (getting to know them lately too!).. wrapped up with your lovely character and garnished with love.
No im not suggesting you’re a thanksgiving turkey. :P If you are, you’re a very fit turkey to run 5k’s!
I am thankful for MUSIC, and the part everyone plays in it, on mic and off; and specifically what you bring to it in this part of town Kina.

Show at the Troubadour? I’m not a big concert goer, but I know it’s a place where so many music legends have performed. I’m happy for you. and I get to see you there for the special occasion! By the way, I like this cover. Strong and steady. I like yours better than the original. It’s my first time hearing a John Mayer lyrics making sense. I relate to this song. yeah half of my..

That cover is sooooooooo cool! Simply amazing.
The turkey shoutouts are very funny :D
I hope you wont keep your secrets for long. We are curious.

the Troubador! many favorite music memories there :) if it weren’t so close to our anniversary plans, that would have been worth a plane ticket… but i’m hoping the silver lining is that a you’ll come play portland soon on tour. hope you and family are still enjoying a wonderful holiday weekend!
November 28, 2009
ah! I’ve been somewhat absent from kg.com and the SB lately… but I still think you’re amazing! :P
Also, I can’t help but love your Kinawkwardness at 4:58– “As many of you know, for the past two years…. there’s a fly… sorry”

I finally had the time to watch your video and I loved it (as if there was any doubt) :-)
Was that my name I saw on the turkey in the shout outs? If it was thanks to whomever offered it up.. if it wasn’t then woohoo for another glenn in company… but I am then jealous… lol
I hope that your Thanksgiving went wonderfully. Family and friends were all around I hope. It was busy, to say the least, at my house. It also went so well that it seems Christmas will be at my house too… ay ya! Lechon anyone?
So excited about your newest album progress! A late x-mas gift to everyone :-) It is nice to hear your updates, via your bla(h)g or tweets. It is a little sad about the changing of your merch set-up, but I suppose it is a step in the right direction. I am sooo tempted to order more t-shirts and CDs now. :-D
I predict that your PO box will be full this year. :-)
Warmest Thoughts,
Glenn
P.S. The pupcakes say “woof”! The two that left have temporarily returned to stay with me til x-mas! puppies everywhere!
P.S.S. A Pre-Sale CD!?!?! how exciting!

could I have a birthday shout out in an upcoming video.
My Name is Neil, I’m from Vancouver, B.C. and the B’day is December 4
I love that in all your videos there’s a song, some commentary, and b’days and shout outs done in a creative way. Not that I’m not watching for the music but part of me is always itching to see what you do for the end section every single time
