highlighted in green

this one is an oldie! i guess in my mind i had just played this song to death, but playing it again was actually kind of fun.

here are some answers to some questions:
What type of plectrum do you use?
- generally i use orange dunlop picks. but i have a few special others. (but they are probably lost)
What is the largest venue in which you have performed?
- some outdoor area this feb in arizona opening for the counting crows
Can I have the tabs to your songs?
- if only i had the time to write tabs for them! some day… i really would love to share.
What is the most played song on your iPod?
- i tend to lose my ipod for months on end, but the most played song on my itunes is “Let Go” by Frou Frou with 640 plays.
kina, what ARE the many uses of pennies?
- well, one is spending them. but the BEST one is strategically leaving heads up pennies everywhere you go in hopes that you will make someone feel happy and lucky later when they find it.
why is it that sometimes when you’re playing a song [like in the part of the new song that you posted with the bleeding love video] you like slide down your left hand after playing a chord? do you know what i mean?
- yes i know what you mean, and the answer is… it feels right? haha. i’m actually not very conscious of the movement but i have realized that i do it, and it doesn’t actually accomplish much. except feel good.
do any bugs/reptiles just gross you out?? or just plain annoy the heck out of you? because.. i mean you wanted to be an entomologist or a herpetologist but dont you find them annoying??
- i strongly dislike mosquitos. ants are annoying but are totally necessary. mosquitos are just awful. also, there are a few that i would prefer to not be ON me. such as: spiders. i like to carry them by their little web strands, but don’t like them to crawl on me. cockroaches. fine to look at but when they 1) fly straight at my face 2) grab onto my big toe in the dark or 3) are chilling on my hand when i wake up, then i have a problem. all reptiles are great unless they are poisonous and biting me. :)

love love

kina, glad you’re posting more originals, even if they do seem old to you. the thing is, i’ve only been listening since january so there’s a lot of catching up to do. you looked like you were having lots of fun singing it!

so much more of the song comes through when it’s performed live… until you get some bookings in OR / WA, the videos are the next best thing. also in the meantime, yay, another radio live set!

  2. emi Says:

i’m on the phone with kina and she wanted me to see if i could post the first comment and i have already failed.

    le sigh.

    hello out there. :)

  3. Timmy Says:

That’s okay, it doesn’t mean you’re a bad sister =). Just a slightly late one.

    and hi.

  4. Timmy Says:

Ya know, I don’t think I’ve actually seen you play this one live before, so this is quite a treat. You know what else is a treat? Your super random cake. What flavor did you make it?

Oh yeah, now that I’ve heard both versions of this song (studio and live), I kinda don’t know which one I like better. Or I’ll just like both. Kinda like the unplugged and studio versions of Hands Down.

  5. Russ. Says:

    Ohh, an Oldie!

:: Wondering if the bottom half is as presentable as the top half this time ::

and hooray for another friday radio show!

hmm…i dont believe i have anymore comments for this evening as my movie is put on pause to comment…perhaps later i shall add more?

    …hmmm, wonderful song! (as usual)

    tty soon

    -)

  6. emi Says:

    what movie are you watching?
i watched ‘the darjeeling limited’ tonight and ‘into the wild’ a few days ago.
    wheeeee movies!
oh netflix, how i love thee

  7. deana Says:

oh no, so sorry emi! i wish i could take it back… i’d already seen it on youchoob so i knew she was about to post here.

and on the bug thing, kina, the current refrigerator art exhibit in the dow house is dedicated to you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KXu-xxSEXg

  8. Timmy Says:

Netflix is awesome. Except for the part where they’ve pretty much put almost all physical rental stores out of business.

Into the Wild was great! I’m surprised it didn’t get much viewing though.

I should sleep. I have work in the morning. Too bad my biological clock is all over the place.

  9. emi Says:

no, no! you got it fair and square, i was too busy checking facebook :|

i’m glad you got there before me, because i had nothing interesting to say :)

  10. 10  emi Says:

yeah i work at 8am and have to get up at 6. why do i do this to myself?

  11. 11  deana Says:

haha, in that case, yay! i don’t think i’ve got 1st before ;-)

it’s been a really good day!

  12. 12  Timmy Says:

Deana, hurry up and visit your mom for Mother’s Day next week! You’re taking too long to come back =P

  13. 13  nimur Says:

and i love not having work on mondays.

  14. 14  Russ. Says:

Im watching requiem for a dream, 25% done

  15. 15  deana Says:

what’s worries me is this: what happens if i can finally go visit good old rowland heights and kina goes on an out of state tour! tragically i’m not going anywhere soon. that whole full-time job, mom and school thing… sleep is for the weak right?

  16. 16  Russ. Says:

    “sleep is for the weak”

my sleeping pattern is just rediculous…

    -wake up at around 12pm
    -work at 1pm
    -off of work at 9pm
-photo work (at home) or just internetting, or movie watching movies till 4 or 5am
    -sleep at 4 or 5am

of course there will be those times when i work in the morning…those days mess me up.

    =)

  17. 17  nimur Says:

youchoob…? i think we have another happyslipper in here.

  18. 18  rumin Says:

  20. 20  deana Says:

    @Russ, how was that movie?

  21. 21  Russ. Says:

@ deana - Cinematically, its crazyyyy…but im not done yet.

  22. 22  Russ. Says:

    Ok, Im Done…

    … umm

    … that movie was…

…umm… crazy? lol, a bit more that i was expecting. cinematically, it was shot very well. content, well, lets just say, “it aint no kiddie movie”. Perhaps i shouldnt watch these types of films before i journey to my slumber.

    goodnight!

  23. 23  OneLoveBee Says:

Happy Cinco De Mayo!!! Thanks Kina for making Monday a day to look forward to…such a great festive video for this week! So since its Cinco de mayo what are your party plans? Dodger game anyone?

  24. 24  Yohan Says:

    how was darjeeling?

  25. 25  Yohan Says:

kina the wishmasterrrr. cake + music = wish granted.

ants can truly get annoying. the indoor variety anyway.

    yess for more radio.

  26. 26  Yohan Says:

    we all do. sigh.

  27. 27  Jerry Says:

Congrats on being #1, Deana! :D Woot!

  28. 28  kina Says:

that movie made me feel like i was on drugs.

  29. 29  Tanya Says:

so i was super excited that you were having a show on the 24th because im back in SoCal from school and everything was going to be merry but alas i cannot attend. which i am very upset about :/ my madre is making me go work with her…but on saturdays she drives down to the border…at 2 in the morning and we get to stay there all day…yayyyyyyy not. so i will be thinking of your show and music that day to get me through it :)

p.s. Let Go by Frou Frou = goodness. seriously, its just a feel good song, gets me through the day :)

  30. 30  Travis T. Says:

    Kina! :)
    ♥ — great song & video
not sure if you’ve played that one in Austin or not
[to be sure, why not come back (some time soon perhaps?) and play it? :D]

ok! happy Monday / Cinco de Mayo!

p.s.: did you make that cake yourself?

  31. 31  Eric Says:

thanks a lot for my sister :)
(her birthday is tomorrow, so she hasn’t seen your video yet ^^)
    lovely song, wonderful cake ^^
    thanks again for everything :)

  32. 32  J.C. Says:

Cool song Kina :). You got me hooked on the blogs now…

Roaches are nasty but there’s nothing worse then Giant Rhino Beetle Larvae. Bear Grylls ate it on the show Man vs Wild and the guts squirted out…ahhhh (sorry…hope you had your breakfast already)

Speaking of Cinco de Mayo…King Taco in LA has the best carne asada tacos w/ green sauce…Watch out for drunk drivers!

Wow Emi…6AM everyday? Do you have to go to school afterwards?

  33. 33  Jen Says:

    Hey Kina!

I never got a chance to post a comment last week, My laptop is broken :(

But I wanted to make sure I said: This is one of my favorites of you songs…I love it! I am so glad you sang it!

    Hmmm…yup thats it..

Oh and I just wanted to remind you have great you are!!! You totally ROCK!!!

    Take Care,
    Jen :)

  34. 34  rumin Says:

as far as spiders are concerned, tarantulas look pretty hardcore, but they’re great to handle. really gentle and they’ll walk all over your arm once they get over the initial shyness.

i don’t know about giant rhino beetle larvae, but i’ve had fried grasshoppers and frog-legs before…both were kinda…well, i wouldn’t try them again, unless i was trying to stave off starvation, let’s put it like that. bear is awesome (the man, not the meat. never had bear meat).

PS: never let one of those wasp spiders crawl on your arm. they pack a mean bite.

  35. 35  rumin Says:

I just want to say that I love all of Kina’s music, particularly the ‘oldies,’ even considering that some of the newer songs are positively mind-blowing. Each song is like a snapshot in her development as a singer/songwriter and it’s exciting/amazing to see how far she’s come and how much further she will go. Felt like that needed to be said.

  36. 36  elittman Says:

Hey kina, I really enjoyed this song, but I’m wondering the background/story behind it — that is if its not too personal to share (no worries if it is, i won’t think any less of ya)

lookin forward to the radio show!
    Eric

  37. 37  elittman Says:

    i completely agree

  38. 38  JoePike Says:

Kina- Great to see you ‘rocking out’ on that song. Looked like it was big fun to play. Just curious…was anyone else in the room when you were playing? Because it looked like you glanced at someone a couple times.

Hope you enjoyed the cake, and no worries- real candles are harder to blow out than birthday candles!

  39. 39  Russ. Says:

i know right, i thought i was trippin out at one point.

    LOL

  40. 40  wwar1ace Says:

Ack! My EYES!!!!…. Blast you, Red Baron!!!

  41. 41  wwar1ace Says:

    I thought Cinqo wan’t until the sixth…

  42. 42  wwar1ace Says:

You left out that K.Taco has the best roaches, too…. outside of Chinatown, that is.

    ;-)

  43. 43  rumin Says:

    *sinister chuckle* bwhahahaha.
    *adjusts goggles*
Mein arch-enemy, prepare to be riddled with a barrage of agonizing syntax and grammatical torture! Mein Gott! Have I gone mad with power? Of course I have. Ever try going mad without power? It’s boring, nobody listens to you. At any rate, let the battle begin (or continue)! Schnell!

PS: I’ve taken a long time to memorize these villainous monologues in advance. Taking over the world wasn’t that practical, and someone stole my death ray, plus you can’t really do much from a triplane these days, so this was this next best thing.

PPS: I could have been really evil and done my tirade in german backwards ehehehehe….but i seem to retain a few slivers of humanity yet.

  44. 44  rumin Says:

Yum yum. I love me a good roach burrito, adds a little zest to the flavoring.

on a more serious note, have you ever been to the plum tree inn? c’est magnifique! some guy proposed to his girlfriend at the table next to me last week. in french. it was beautiful.

  45. 45  elevated thought Says:

i always pick up pennies that are heads up. and everytime i see a penny that is tails up, i turn it over so that the next person that sees it can pick it up and have good luck.

and “let go” is such a soothing song. i listened to it along with some of your songs right before i took a nap at work this morning [15-hour graveyard security shifts are fun when you're locked in an exhibit hall filled lots of cool crap to play with].

  46. 46  rumin Says:

it made me tired, frankly. i ended up falling asleep halfway through it, then woke up halfway through “the science of sleep.” both halves were interesting, but i think i liked the “science” half a bit better.

  47. 47  Cliff Says:

OK, I always liked most of this song, except for the electric guitar solo. I definitely like this version better.

OK, has anyone else ever noticed how wrong Rhapsody can be sometimes? even though I own the CDs, I generally just listen to Rhapsody instead, and I am fairly certain the similar albums section is just rubbish. Evidently in Memory of the Singing Bridge is similar to Press Play by Diddy, Shaggy: the Rhapsody interview, and Hung Up by Madonna…

  48. 48  rumin Says:

Where’s Mama G? She’s normally here by now. We miss her presence. =/

  49. 49  elevated thought Says:

i loved Into the Wild! kinda makes me wanna do what chris mccandless did.. except the whole dying in a magic bus out in the wilderness part.

  50. 50  Mama G Says:

I have to ask… where do you work??

  51. 51  wwar1ace Says:

Hahah…. we were standing in line for the movies Saturday night, and my wife spots a penny heads-up on the ground… says to me “Think Kina put that there?”

    :-p

  52. 52  Mama G Says:

    I was the off-camera candle lighter… :)

  53. 53  Gene Parmesan Says:

I remember when this was the hit song of the Grannis setlist, back in aught four. In those days, we used to walk to shows at Ground Zero up hill both ways.

  54. 54  rumin Says:

funnn! i trust the candle/cake-ornament-thingies frosting didn’t go to waste, i hope :)

  55. 55  rumin Says:

In those days, we used to walk to shows through sleet, hail, and 3 feet of snow. and sometimes trogdor would hassle us. But it was all worth it. Totally.

  56. 56  Gene Parmesan Says:

  57. 57  ajsea Says:

    You’re not?! ;-)

  58. 58  Travis T. Says:

Did you decorate the cake, too? :)
And how was it? It certainly looked yummy from here

look at me I’m all cake questions ;P

  59. 59  ajsea Says:

I like this! It is strikingly different from your more recent work and shows a completely different side of your songwriting ability and personality! I always shudder when I read comments from music fans and critics like, “[insert name of musician] should return to [insert particular sound in their musical career]” because I like musicians of any genre to evolve. Music is more interesting that way. Having said that, I will make an exception in this case.

Really, I have yet to hear you do anything bad. So, press on forward. I will be here to admire.

    BBL!

P.S. October is really far away, but I’m already looking forward to my birthday wish from Kina.

  60. 60  fenders#1 Says:

is it just me or does anyone else wonder if Kina feels silly or weird doing all these blogs? and I just listened to that frou frou song and it made me feel like i was in some disco or upbeat rave party.

  61. 61  shir Says:

    Hey kina,

i thought of you when i came across this penny story! i think the title is really fitting too. . . hope you like it :)

  62. 62  Senator Says:

Wow! Monday early evening EST and I’m already 60 comments down. Great song and I don’t know if I could ever get tired of hearing it. There are a few of your songs that when they play on the iPod I repeat once or twice more. The songs have worked out well. It lasts about as long as a race on the new Mario Kart for the Wii. Great combination. Have a great week all!

  63. 63  elevated thought Says:

my company does security for different events throughout the bay area, e.g., sporting events, concerts, festivals, parades, etc. the event i just worked was the Maker Faire (http://www.makerfaire.com) at the San Mateo Event Center. i like the graveyard shifts because they give you more hours and it’s easy money, depending on where you get posted. i was lucky enough to get locked in one of the buildings where all the cool stuff was in. if you get posted outside for graveyard, that’s the worst.. since it gets cold at night here in the bay. haha

  64. 64  steph Says:

I’ve been on here on and off all day. And for some reason haven’t posted til now. Oops. sry! :]

Lovely song. I think I like all the songs better acoustic and live!! :]

yummy cake!! looks perfect. haha and kina would have lizards on the cake.. and then suck the icing off the feet. but that’s what makes kina so freaking awesome and unique!! haha. can i have a cupcake for my birthday?? :] its sept. 15… i have awhile to wait haha. AHHH i just realized my birthday’s on a monday this year!!! woohoooo!! haha

ok now i’m done. and i’m off to study more history for my IB test tmw. woo! wish me luck!

  65. 65  Dhruv Patel Says:

    thanks for the birthday wish

    that cake looks delicious

    good old classic song

  66. 66  John S II Says:

Definitely a beautiful song, and you’ve gotten better at it, too. I just wanted to say thank you for posting your songs every week, and that it’s definitely the highlight of my week when I see there’s a new post.

BTW, lizard feet? Probably tastes like chicken and birthday cake. There’s two flavors you shouldn’t mix!

I still have the CDs you sent me, I keep them in my car’s CD Changer, on numbers 1, 2 and 3. I listen to them every week as I travel in my job. Thank you so much, and have a good week!

PS, If you do a show in Northern Indiana, post and I’ll get a whole crew out there to cheer you on and enjoy your music!

  67. 67  Timmy Says:

darn that trogdor. He’s always burning up my thatched roof cottages.

  68. 68  kate Says:

i really love hearing your old songs because ive only been listening to you since the super bowl…

dang it! i was gonna write something else, but when i was reading all the other comments i got distracted. o well… basically your amazing and rock my socks :)

  69. 69  nimur Says:

frog legs are good with some butter and garlic, but i stay away from the insects.

  70. 70  Kundan Says:

Were you wearing green when you were singing that song?
Was that deliberate or just an amazing coincidence?

  71. 71  Strong Bad Says:

    you mean BURNINATING!

  72. 72  boss Says:

Happy National Teacher Day to all the great wise teachers in the world including myself.

  73. 73  mark Says:

wow i’ve been gone a while now, so i’m popping my head back in and saying hi. good choices of songs! feels like it’s been forever…

  74. 74  Wes Says:

These updates really do make monday more enjoyable.

    Good stuff kina : )

  75. 75  emceemiko Says:

this song is so catchy… it reminds me of the song “lose yourself” by eminem… not the same beat/tempo but the same message..

kina’s like “wow meex, that is totally off” hahaha but i am weird! i LOVE the part where u start singing “if i tried… etc”

that part is so hell yeah to me haha…

  76. 76  Hapa Jon Says:

It’s always awesome to watch your blahg. I think everyone here would agree, it’s awesome that you’ve adopted us as your internet friends =) You are such a charmer, you pretty much ooze charisma. Who wouldn’t want to be your pal?
    Stay rad,
    -Jon

  77. 77  Glenn Says:

Your video amendments are so …. you ;-) There is nothing like making sure you include all that you want to include.

Entomology, reminds me of the insect display we once had to do back in grade school… poor bugs, each pierced through the heart… er… nerve center(?) I forgot what those bundle of nerves in insects are called. Technically, I guess you don’t really pierce them through there anyway but I digress. I am reminded of the museum displays I used to go to, all the different kinds of insects, a cacophony of color and yet I would feel slightly sad that they are in that state. I am fascinated and at the same time sad when I go to museums. That is my eccentric moment for today.

  78. 78  mark Says:

happyslip…today was the first day i had ever heard of happyslip.

    SHE’S AWESOME!!!!!

  79. 79  asdf Says:

I prefer the album version, and definitely love the guitar solo part :)) It roxx ;)
I was always wondering, what makes me to prefer a version against an other one, or a cover vs. the original. Is it on which one i’ve heard first? It’s true for a lot of songs (eg for this) . And false too (eg: Strong enough, i love the acusitic, but loooooooooove the fully produced version -at least that 30 seconds i’ve heard of it:)) ). I think there’s no pattern for it.
But about covers vs. originals, i would say, i prefer the covers.

  80. 80  steph Says:

so… i’m listening to k’s choice on rhapsody. can you play believe?? pretty pleaseeee?? :]

  81. 81  Yohan Says:

Felt like adding that I went on an escapade to capture a hyperactive ant that attempted to share my bed last night. Coincidence?

  82. 82  Jeff S. Says:

    Kina-
    Love your tunes!!
My daughters are now singing Message from Your Heart every time it comes up in the car on the iPod!
I would love to hear your version of Invisible by Taylor Swift!
Love your voice and keep up the FABULOUS work!!
    :)
    -Jeff

  83. 83  steph Says:

frog legs are pretty good. even though i have to say i have a deathly fear of frogs. but if i dont know that they’re frog legs before i eat it, or if i dont realize, i’m good. and no joke, i’m deathly afraid of frogs.

  84. 84  steph Says:

kina, i would love to hear your version of any taylor swift song!!! :]

my favorite is “our song” :]…before it was overplayed on the radio. not to say i don’t like it now. but i didnt jump on the bandwagon. i promise!

  85. 85  Brian Says:

I was rocking out to this one because I remember it from USC days. Way to go!

  86. 86  Austin Says:

i ultra-mega dig this song kina! awesome job!

@KINA!!! my birthday is on May 17th!! can i have a BAGEL WITH CREAM CHEESE!!! that would be amazing!! and plus afterwards you can EAT IT!! haha
So that would be totally awesome

  87. 87  Austin Says:

I agree except i like her other song tear drops on my guitar so steph I WIN!

  88. 88  Anna Says:

    Hello!
I’m a girl from Sweden, I found out about you on youtube.
Just want to tell you I really enjoy your music, I’m going to tell my friends about your great music and maybee you’ll get famous in Sweden some day =) Have a nice day and keep up the good work! =)

  89. 89  rumin Says:

I had some at the orange county fair a while back, it was at that place where they fry EVERYTHING…but yeah, i suppose if they’re cooked right they’re probably alright, but the ones i had, not so sure if they were cooked right hah. i feel like i should make some obligatory statement about it tasting like chicken or something

  90. 90  Mama G Says:

    You guys are funny.

  91. 91  Mama G Says:

Hey… you mean when they cooked the bugs? I had chex mix with meal worms…. they were GREAT! Really crunchy! (Emi was pretty grossed out as I remember)

  92. 92  J.C. Says:

Oh man…chex mix w/ meal worms? You ate it at the fair? I know they sell that stuff in a can…I’m getting the chills…

a)”umm you got something stuck on your teeth”
b)”what is it a piece of spinach?”
a)”no its a meal worm leg..”

  93. 93  Anonymous Says:

    that is maybe my favorite.

  94. 94  rumin Says:

haha yeah!! when did you go?
THOSE were actually pretty good, kind of reminded me of bacon bits :D
i wasn’t that big a fan of the grasshoppers though, due to the consistency of the wings…i don’t know if you’re supposed to eat the wings haha, but i did.

i have had silk moth pupae before, sauteed. thai delicacy believe it or not!
gollllleeee…everyone’s going to think i’m uberweird now.

  95. 95  rumin Says:

in light of my statements regarding insect cuisine, i would like to take this opportunity to clarify my earlier attempt at humor.

i have never, nor do i ever plan to, eat a roach burrito. unless it was cooked properly.

    …KIDDING!!!…

    thank you very kindly. :)

  96. 96  steph Says:

oh i love that one too!!! but i havent listened to it nearly as many times.

but i still win!! haha…i dont know what we’re winning about..?

  97. 97  Austin Says:

lol me either i just thought i would say it

    I WIN!

  98. 98  Austin Says:

SWEDEN!!! that is amazing i have always wanted to go to sweden! is it awesome? haha

  99. 99  rumin Says:

We all win in my opinion! We have Kina’s music to listen to which is definitely a prize I’d take over anything any day as far as I’m concerned. :)

  100. 100  Austin Says:

VERY TRUE rumin! and i agree

  101. 101  steph Says:

this is too tempting. i’m taking the 100th again :]

  108. 108  Austin Says:

    GO STEPH’S SOCCER TEAM!!!!!

it seems like me and you steph are like the only ones in here on the weekend lol and i agree that mondays come really slow

  109. 109  Aeglos Says:

Originals are always encouraged (I’m still anxious for Goodnight to become buyable :)), but was just listening to “Somewhere North” by Caedmon’s Call, and I thought a cover by you might be nifty

  110. 110  Cordy Says:

    Hey Kina,

I was wondering if you use a humidifier to maintain your guitars. Do you think they are necessary?

  111. 111  dro or ryan Says:

haha i’ve told you already, but i can’t sleep and i’m bored.

    dr oryan

  112. 112  steph Says:

gahhhh school is so boring!!!!!!! XP

  113. 113  rumin Says:

well, since it’s only Thursday and the wait has been interminable this week for some reason!…

I propose we ask more questions of Kina to pass the time.

    1) What are the top 5 tracks on your ipod right now?
    2) Do you use last.fm?
    3) Are you more of a city person, beach person, or forest person?
    4) Do you have any pets besides your snakes?
    5) Do you have a favorite Disney movie (or top 3?)

  114. 114  Anonymous Says:

Hello, Anna. Don’t be a stranger!

  115. 115  ajsea Says:

That was me! I forgot that I erased my browser history and no longer had my name saved. Problem solved.

  116. 116  ajsea Says:

I do have to agree. This week has gone slower than others. Actually, I’m upset about it. Time decides to seem slower after I’m done for the semester. Normally, with a lot of work to do, time runs so fast leaving a student’s frantic to get work done. Now that there is no work to be done, time slows down. I have learned to expect these kinds of things by now, but it doesn’t mean I’m happy about them.

Oh yeah, and I want time to go faster to see more Kina.:-)

  117. 117  Cliff Says:

The art of the cover has been lost over time, in my eyes. Hurt by Johnny Cash is the only demi-recent cover I have liked (not counting Kina’s, of course). It used to be that I would have a hard time choosing one or the other, or I prefered the cover outright. Now, I just find bands ruining songs I like. Then again, I dislike bands now…that probably plays into it

  118. 118  rumin Says:

Perhaps you will see this, perhaps you won’t, as it’s buried in a multitude of other comments. But…

When on the world the mists began to fall,
Out of the dreams that rose in happy throng… :)

  119. 119  fenders#1 Says:

the scariest thing happened to me today, I was in class taking the CST tests for highschool and my phone got a text message and it was from that twitter thing telling me that kina posted something, I was so embarassed because if you get caught with your phone texting, all of the students taking the test in my class get their tests invalidated, luckily my teacher either didn’t notice or didn’t care. That scared me though, I thought to myself darn Kina for having to post at that exact moment in time.

  120. 120  fenders#1 Says:

just got another text go look at the cool shirts kina made for us to buy they are at kinagrannis.com, I want to buy one but they don’t seem to manly I don’t want my friends to make fun of me for wearing a shirt with hands in the shape of a heart or a cartoon drawing of a girl and a guitar

  121. 121  rumin Says:

haha, but didn’t you know? real men wear kina shirts! :D

i think it’s about as manly as building a log cabin or jumping through rings of fire to save a damsel in distress…

  122. 122  fenders#1 Says:

haha true, true, maybe i can buy them all and then wear them to school and just wear a sweater over them or something, but I guess that kind of destroys the point in buying the shirts anyways. When I go to one of her concerts I will wear it and have her sign it, then I will never take that shirt off and wear it everyday since Kina signed it haha jk that would be kinda gross.

  123. 123  emceemiko Says:

im assuming it has to do with her going to NYC and u live in NYC…

lol… i am sure u guys are planning something together… a collab perhaps… lol hahaha… im just speculating haha

ur very lucky and fortunate and blessed =)

  124. 124  grace Says:

Hi Kina! I recently “found” you on YouTube because my guitar loving friend sent me a link to your videos. You are SO talented & totally an inspiration for me to pick up my guitar and really learn to play :)

anyone ever told you that you kinda look like tia & tamera mowry? (from the show Sister Sister)

one random question - Is your hair naturally curly?

  125. 125  Timmy Says:

Actually, I’ve got one of her shirts (the one with the hands in the heart shape) and I surprisingly get compliments on that shirt all the time.

And you know…. girls dig shirts with cute symbols on them. =)

  126. 126  Yohan Says:

The logo tee looks manly enough.

  127. 127  asdf Says:

I hope someone can record the lostcauseradio show. 9 pst is 6 am here in europe :(

  128. 128  ajsea Says:

Yes, her hair is naturally curly. If you look the video from two weeks ago, she straightened it; it looked really nice, but only stayed that way until she washed her hair.

Welcome to the bla(h)g btw, Grace
