street team AND shirts. crazy.

before i forget — FINALLY, the shirts are up on the website. check them out! we can ship them anywhere.

http://www.kinagrannis.com/merch.html

okay!

so we’ve done a lot of talking about it, but i think it’s time we make this happen! no sense in waiting around.

i sat down this weekend and had a brainstorm session, and between that and all the suggestions i received from a number of you, i think this is going to be the most super awesome street team ever.

intrigued? wondering if you can play the part?
- anyone can be on the street team! if helping spread the word and getting in on some cool “missions” i’ve planned sounds fun to you, that’s all that counts.
- in a different country? doesn’t mean a thing. you can still be a super awesome member of the kg street team.
- joining doesn’t necessarily mean a big time commitment, but your participation is important to help fulfill the purpose of the street team.
- and of course, there will perks for your efforts. :)

so if you think this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, shoot me an email at streetteam@kinagrannis.com and i’ll send you some more information and the “registration form.” the “registration form” is not as scary as it sounds, it just amused me to call it something so professional sounding. haha.

i could’ve gone into more detail… but i want to keep things exciting.

questions? comments? suggestions? just want to get going already?
email streetteam@kinagrannis.com

thanks for being really awesome people.

My sister and her boyfriend graduated from USC today, that main ceremony was crazy I could barely see anything. The other ceremony for the majors was interesting, I was amazed at what some of those people were taking as major’s and minor’s. The heat was killing me though, at least I didn’t pass out like some not so lucky others. I wonder what Kina’s minor’s were?

Okay, I guess I won’t take my frustration out on Andy. His actions are dictated by innocence and enthusiasm…. but STILL……… I wondered how they would keep us hanging in the last episode.

Haha, best line of the episode…

“You were cheating on me?!?! Even when I specifically told you not to?!?!”

      AHAHAHAHA.

Oh man, I don’t think I’d ever be able to work with a real life Michael Scott. Makes me glad there’s one on tv to squirm at.

    @ Kina

Would you mind giving a belated b-day shout out to my lil’ sis this next Monday? You can just call her “Baby ABD”, and today’s her 29th berfday.

I JUST got her computer fixed (had no sound) during my Mother’s Day visit… so now she can finally catch your Youtube productions. Till now, all she had were the CD’s I picked up at your Hotel Cafe show.

    Thanks,

I’ll keep it short and simple: to encourage you to tell us more of your trip.

    Which do you prefer:
    subways or freeways?
    Manhattan or Manhattan Beach?
    65°(rain) or 95°(sunny)?
Statue of Liberty or statue of Flo-Jo?
    Knicks or Lakers?

what a night. amazing hearing you live. perfect! i thoroughly enjoyed all of it. you’re so comfortable on stage, especially with us “east coaster people”. haha.

I remember thinking “wow, she sounds exactly like she does online”. Then I realized, even though I have your CDs and all, I’m mostly very familiar with your online content of semi-live performed blogs. So all was perfect (not to mention you’re just a great musician). Nothing is worse than going to your favorite artist’s show and your favorite song wasn’t that good live. Absolutely wasn’t the case (nor did i expect it to be).

It was really a pleasure meeting you, finally. Hope you enjoy the stuff! I’ll send you our fun pics tomorrow = )

Hope to see you again tomorrow! If not, no big deal, I’ll just catch you on the wesside.

I tried to take a few videos but the speakers were too loud so the sound didn’t come out right :( I will post pictures soon though! hope you come again soon. . . lotsa love from the east coast xx

        • dro or ryan says:

          Hey! wasn’t it great?

i was the guy in the corner with the camera set up. I’ll be uploading the videos soonly (if it’s cool with kina of course). I am missing one or two songs though because I had to switch tapes (i know i know, come prepared).

I was there. It was really fun. Navigating NYC wasn’t so fun, but it was worth it. Cool to be sitting cross-legged* a few feet from the stage and think “She exists beyond the internet. Who knew?” I chatted a bit with Jesse the shirt-selling favor-doer (how he described himself) and said bye to Misa, but I must say, it’s strange to see internet people in real life.

Oh, and Kina, if you really want back-up can-can dancers, you could always just call for volunteers :)

*this totally supports my theory that Kina is half kindergarten teacher. And I mean that in the best way
