so we’ve done a lot of talking about it, but i think it’s time we make this happen! no sense in waiting around.
i sat down this weekend and had a brainstorm session, and between that and all the suggestions i received from a number of you, i think this is going to be the most super awesome street team ever.
intrigued? wondering if you can play the part?
- anyone can be on the street team! if helping spread the word and getting in on some cool “missions” i’ve planned sounds fun to you, that’s all that counts.
- in a different country? doesn’t mean a thing. you can still be a super awesome member of the kg street team.
- joining doesn’t necessarily mean a big time commitment, but your participation is important to help fulfill the purpose of the street team.
- and of course, there will perks for your efforts. :)

Man, I’m kinda mad that I haven’t seen Iron Man yet. I rarely have time cuz I work a lot, and when I do have free time, no one wants to go with me cuz everybody’s seen it already :(.
As for Speed Racer, I’m hesitant to want to see it. It’s just not the same as what I’m used to seeing when I was a kid, watching the cartoon.
In honesty though, as long as I see the new Indiana Jones on opening night, then I pretty much don’t have to see any other movie for the rest of the year.
Except maybe Dark Knight. But that’s it.

Oooo! There’s two by me! One in Baldwin Park (kinda sketchy area), and one in… Claremont I think. The Claremont one only has the tinny sounding little speaker you attach to your window though, and it’s not usually loud enough. I’d rather go to the Baldwin Park one, cuz they have radio frequencies you can tune in to to listen to the movie.
Problem is, my car got broken into some months ago, and they stole my radio (among other things, including photography equipment =/) so I wouldn’t have a radio to tune into, haha.

I am usually a medium to large tshirt depending on how tight I want the shirt. I got a large one and its pretty form fitting like most medium shirts are(so ordering up=good unless you like tight shirts)…its only tight on one area (sux to be a girl)…My boyfriend got large also, because they didn’t have XL at the time, and he’s been wearing it to sleep to stretch it out.
BTW loving the changing scenery in the vid, and the song was a happy get lost sorta thing. I like that type to start the day :)

Y’know, it’s funny, there’s 41 comments, which is impressive, but it’s all from the same five people which…is great. It makes me smile.
Nice song, solidly enjoyable video. Although, Kina, you’re aided by the fact that even though you’re apparently playing the most popular songs out there right now I live under a rock and so they’re new to me.
If I get this job this week, I shall have to buy the heart-hands shirt (far and away the coolest). And if the stars really align, I may even be an hour’s drive from NYC on Saturday. That’d be neat…

usually, people don’t consider me “lucky” because I’m in a wheelchair. Now that gas prices have gotten so high, many of them are probably giving it a second thought.

The video this week earns extra kudos since it was so much more that your usual flair.
I must be spending more time outside my cave than I normally do since ‘Take a Bow’ I have heard of… ironically, it was mentioned as a potential for some of the volunteer stuff I do.
You have nice digs and I love your creativeness… regarding your ‘turn on the catwalk’, nice moves… I’ll look into getting a shirt. Do you think you will have any hats (baseball caps, etc.)? Maybe a ‘kg’ hat or ‘guitar girl’ or something… then you can have ‘Kina Grannis’ or kinagrannis.com on the back if you want to get even more creative.
An ‘application form’… heh, cool beans… just don’t sell my info to the mafia or other infamous organizations too quickly, we should negotiate the terms of my ’services’ then you can get a better price ;-)

Sadly I have not listened to Rihanna in a while, but Kina you did an amazing job on this cover and now I know how to play it on my guitar from your video. The Street team sounds like fun I can’t wait to join and be involved, I already told all my friends and family about you though so I don’t know who else to tell about your greatness. I have a request for a whole video that Kina should do, I think Kina should make a whole “cribs” episode where she walks around her house and gives a tour of her huge house, because in every video she is somewhere new, it’s like her house is in some magical wonderland where her house just grows new rooms every week. Or maybe Mama G and Dr G are super rich and can keep expanding their house. Has anyone else thought of this? Or am I just weird?

We wish we were super rich (we’d have a big house party and invite all of you!). All I can say is that we strive for a unique environment….that’s why you see walls of every color behind Kina in the videos. And unfortunately, a cribs episode will never happen. We are SO not prepared to clean house. :P

haha Mama G I can see you planning a whole party for the bla(h)g too. That would be one intense party. I bet the house is clean and you think it is unclean but it is such a huge house that it must be quite a chore to keep that whole house clean, but from what I’ve seen the house looks spick and span to me lol.

my favorite thing to eat in NYC are those street food vendors in nyc all over times square that sell those beef things on sticks and hot dog bread lol

i guess i should have tried those beef things…
instead we followed around a guy from jersey that said he knew of this good japanese restaurant and ended up at yoshinoya….
so of course we ate at chevy’s next door. too hungry to walk back to the carts.
but, do you think those beef things are better than chicago dogs..?
