(Gr)avatars
Hey all, quick note from admin/Misa. You may have noticed the little gray placeholders for avatars. Those turn out to be for Gravatars (I was confused myself), which stands for “globally recognized avatar.” Basically, if you go here and register with the email address you used to register for the blog (which will also work for the forum, *wink*) it’ll show up whenever you comment. I’m still working out the kinks, and I tried to get an avatar upload system working, too (got one working for the forum, *wink*), but for now, if you’re interested, you can head on over to gravatar’s website and get yourself icon’d. :)

Gravatar, now that is a name I have not heard in a long time. It turns out that I had registered with these guys a while back, but I never uploaded a pic. One of these days I will have to recall why I looked these guys up before.

FYI…. When trying to select the picture to use for your gravatar profile, if you are using IE for your browser, it may not prompt you to confirm your selection (and thus won’t save it).
I had this problem with setting up my profile, and found it was an IE issue by just trying Firefox instead, which worked fine.
I’m sure it won’t affect everyone, but if you have this problem too, hopefully this will help.

Yeah… school has been, well, time consuming to say the least, so I haven’t had much time to comment. That, and the whole 100+ comments thing that was going for a while kind of dissuaded me from reading through all the comments (I did watch the videos though) when I had a test the next day.

cute quick story. so im here at training and i packed my kina grannis shirt, apparently the one for ladies. the tan cream colored one with the drawing of the little girl on the front with a guitar (whoever that may be haha jk)
and then someone went up to me and said “awwww. i like ur shirt…” i go “yeah thats my friend kina grannis…”

she was like “huh… that’s supposed to be someone?”
“yeah…. ” and i turned around and showed how it says “kina grannis” on the background…
and they were like ‘oh….’ and i said how u won the superbowl contest and one girl remembered that commercial hehe i was talking to two people… the other didnt watch the superbowl

I was looking through my iTunes today and I saw Norah Jones and a light bulb went on, I think you should cover Don’t Know Why, Sunrise, or Thinking About You. Her style of music and your voice would match perfectly I think. That is all I wanted to say/request for a video.

it’s funny. I most commonly hear about parents being attached to their kids “at the hip.” Apparently, for the Grannis family at least, it is more common to be attached to your kids at the head, in family photos anyway.;-) Love the pic Dr. G.!
