i’m sorry i couldn’t give you all a heads up sooner that the blog was going to be up late. i’m in a tricky situation because i’m still not fully moved in to my new apartment and i have no internet access. so i record in one place, edit in another, and ultimately, post somewhere else. i spent the day recording and editing, then rushed to a starbucks to upload it before my rehearsal, but it didn’t finish in time and i had to leave. unfortunately the rehearsal space had no internet either, so i couldn’t upload it there either or post a heads up. luckily i can twitter from my cell phone… but that only reaches about… no one. :( i’m so sorry. i also missed seeing off my friend that was visiting from new zealand in all the craziness!! i was just one of those days… thank you all for being understanding though. i will try better to be on time. i have a feeling that once i am moved in things will be a lot easier for me.

in other news– the rehearsal was great (minus the discomfort of knowing that every minute it went on was another minute my post would be postponed). it was with the two bands i’ll be playing with at hotel cafe on the 25th– lady danville and the payphones. we’ll all be collaborating at the end of the night. it should be fun :)

tomorrow i am headed up to santa barbara to take some pictures with emi and perhaps record some singing for a future blog! wednesday i’ll be writing with rich jacques again and then having another rehearsal. thursday i need to catch up on sending out cds and tshirt orders, then i am attending a show at the mint! friday i leave for denver to go to the mile high music festival where i will hopefully do some networking in addition to hearing some wonderful music. the festival runs through sunday night, and my flight home leaves at 2pm and doesn’t get home until 8PM, and then i go straight to a rehearsal! i’m not quite sure how i will pull this off. hopefully sunday night after the festival i will have some time to blog… though i dont have my own hotel room so that might be difficult. i’m just giving you a super heads up… that my next monday is a little crazy, but i’m going to do what i can to get it done.

i hope this tutorial makes sense to you all! i think it should be pretty simple even if you’re a beginner. maybe you could pull it off even if you don’t play guitar. :) that would be fun. then we could all be a band someday!! haha.

hmmm… when i have free time…
i probably spend most of my free time trying to respond to as many emails as possible. i run. i play guitar. i sing. i write. i rest. i read. occasionally someone will convince me to attend some sort of social event…
