hello everyone!
i feel like i’ve been a little distracted lately and i’m sorry about that. between the weekly blogs, the marathon, street team plans, and all that lovely businessy stuff i have to deal with… i get a little scattered. but today has been rather calm and lovely. i uploaded the blog with no stress and it’s not midnight! huzzah!
though i’ve been less present in writing-form as of late, i have been reading your comments and messages and ideas more than ever and yet again, i feel so incredibly lucky to have all of you supporting me. thank you all again so much.
marathon news- i survived the 15 mile run yesterday! my body definitely felt more used than i could ever have imagined, but it felt so great to finish. this saturday Team In Training has set up a mock half marathon for all of the Los Angeles teams! it should be fun– 13.1 miles.
music news- writing some news songs… perhaps i will share them sometime soon :) also, i’ve been doing some heavy duty brainstorming for my next release. which songs… how they will be presented…etc. more on that later.
when is the best day and time for everyone to attend a live chat on stickam?? please convert times to pacific standard time :)

Ok, so I haven’t watched the video yet, but I thought I should share the insane moment I just had.
So I’m watching “Fantasia 2000″ with my friends, The Firebird Suite specifically, and at the exact moment that the volcano erupted (in the song and on the screen) the page loaded and I read the title for the video…it was so weird.
Ok, now to watch the video. Just thought I should share that. Does stuff like this happen to anyone else? It seems like it happens to me quite often.

Whoa. First thing I said when the song started. It’s quite a sweet vid visually, but all the background Kina’s voices have a bangin effect.
Oh and 7 Pacific time is good with I as well. As for day…don’t really matter to me.

Good gravy! Kina posted at a reasonable hour on Monday! I was just checking to see where my previously flung barbs had landed, and I had to cartoonishly rub my eyes to verify that, indeed, it is the new Kina video.
Anyway, I like Damien Rice. Worlds of melancholy associations with the boy, but gosh darnit he sounds pretty. As do you Kina.

Never thought you’d ever cover a Damien Rice song. You amaze me every single week. I would’ve rather you’d done 9 Crimes or The Blower’s Daughter or either of the bonus tracks or Grey Room, or Elephant, or anything besides Volcano but, it was the first song that made me fall in love with Damien Rice and it brings back memories listening to it. So thanks for that. I’m glad you’re writing. Hope to hear another original soon. Or “Melody” or “Officer” by Kate Earl. Heh. Hope you’re in town soon kaygee. -g.

loved this song! i listened to it so much a while back, i thought i was all volcano’d out. you made it new again, especially with the lovely backing vocals :)
i’d love to catch the stickam live whenever, after 7p… although perhaps the later the better if it’s on a weekend.

Never heard this song but again it was just as amazing as other covers. As for the stickam session, I’m pretty sure it’ll end up going on for quite some hours so I say anytime and eventually everyone will be able to get in on a time, sadly I will miss it, I get to go to Kona for a couple of weeks and probably won’t look at the bla(h)g for those weeks maybe. Hope the session is fun and exciting.

First, I would like to say I love all of your songs. I’m so glad you’ve been discovered b/c you are so talented. I wish I could play a guitar, create beautiful songs, and execute them so perfectly and effortlessly.
Now to my question:
On the question “What ARE you?”, why do you only mention half of what you are and not the other half? Even if it is Caucasian or Indonesian, for example, I don’t get why you only mentioned one-half as if you are only half a person or something. Just wondering….

Hey all. I was away far longer than intended. Getting ready to go back to college suddenly was priority number there for a minute. That said, I return to the bla(h)g in full force! Nice cover of this song. Angry, but still laid back. You did you’re thing (How often does a fan say that to you?) as always.

Sorry that I have not been around, life seems to be getting in the way, in additional to a little travel.
Cool cover, it took me a while to listen to it as I am still on the road.
I can’t help but smile at the comments about when to do a live vid session. It reminds me of the trouble I have with work and contacting our offices around the world. Having Europe, Asia and the US on one session is tough but not impossible. Taking into account also those that have work schedules, it becomes difficult to choose just one time, but if that is all you have… Saturday morning would probably work best. That would be Sat evening in Europe and Sat late night in Asia.
For example, Saturday 7am Pacific is Sat 3pm London and Sat 11pm in Japan… or say Sat 10pm Pacific is Sun 6am London and Sun 2pm in Japan.

So, now on my 40th full system restore and things already seem to be going down the pan;/ Have already had to close the new You Tube account as someone/thing had managed to get rid of both the jpg and colour choices I’d put up after just a couple of days of them being/staying there = I sooooo knew I shouldn’t botherx( My windohs media player error reporting is steadily picking up the tempo to 1/two cds played at the moment and is probably already the 6th genuine windohs downloaded one, so stick to the apple cart if u can!

omG, I finally fluked getting into an old site to find myself returning a friending gesture to what appears to be *l*sh only to then find that I couldn’t get the player to work-DOH! I’ll probably find I can’t gain access again anyway, or this computer will toast again, so same thing really and therefore nothing to sweat over, unlike the now fist dented keyboard beneath my fingertips that seems to have helped cushion the shock to the system better than the system protects me from continuous blows! I think I’ll do Kina/et al a favour and keep these troubles to myself in future, in parting, I’d like to thank those here who have been kindly towards me from time to time, bye all:)

@Mama G; yes I am still on my trip. I am going to be attending the closing ceremonies later today and then I fly back to Cali tomorrow. It doesn’t leave me much time to update anything just yet. My friends having been bugging me to update my blog with how my trip has been going, so I will be doing that. There is so much to talk about, I am not even sure where to begin. My online time has been a little sporadic and in very short intervals so I will probably not update until I get back next week.
