disturbia- rihanna cover

ha! and you thought i was growing out of my weirdness….

first you should know that i just rolled over my toe while sitting in my chair. don’t worry though, i only silent-screamed. no broken bones :)

so today was the most intense day of blogging in the history of kina blogging. for some reason i woke up at 7:30, which was completely not the plan at all, but i felt great so i decided to go with it. i made myself some chai tea and sat out on the porch for a few minutes to take in that lovely morning feeling.

then i came inside to embark on what i thought would be an ordinary blog day.

11 hours later, i exported my video from imovie.

i must admit that it was extremely fun to create. i hope that you all can find some enjoyment in watching it, too. it was really a challenge to try to make this song my own. and while i know it doesn’t sound like “kina” right off the bat, it is, just a smaller part of me. for those anti-autotune-ists out there, i generally agree. it’s frustrating when auto-tune is used to make a non-singer sound like beyonce, but when it’s used for effect, like with imogen heap, i think it can be a beautiful thing.

i recorded the track on garageband first. then i started filming who knows what and eventually i ended up with enough footage to splice up. yay!

oof my body feels bad. my coaches have been telling us that when you start tapering (running less miles) after the 21 miler to recover for the marathon your body just goes whack. that it gets so used to all the mileage that when it doesn’t have it it just starts to freak out. cold symptoms, weird body aches, inability to sleep, random things. interesting, eh? you’d think my body would be jumping for joy.

ok, time to lie down. sorry it took so long!

heart,
kina

oovret: Week 23

Do you prefer hot or cold sandwiches?
both!
hot– my mom’s beef dip sandwich, which is completely unlike any beef dip you’ve ever had, and a million times more delicious.
OR
chicken pesto panini from Il Tramezzino in beverly hills…. ahhhh.
cold– turkey, avocado, sprouts, tomato, a little mayo and mustard… mmmm
What is your high score in bowling?
oh the shame. i don’t actually know, but i guarantee it’s lower than you’ve ever done.
Would you like to travel in outer space?
yes i think it’d be amazing. i don’t think i’d go though if it meant never seeing the people i love again…. you know, like some crazy space trek that would last hundreds of years in earth-time, but only 10 for me, and when i came back everyone would be gone. that’d be sad.
Do you subscribe to any periodicals?
i should.
What was the last movie you saw in theaters?
Vicky Cristina Barcelona– it was very very very good.

@hannah!
welcome to the blog! i’m so glad that you’re enjoying my music :) as far as itunes vs. straight from my website, the difference isn’t HUGELY significant, BUT, if you buy it from my website, i have an excuse to write you a note, which is fun for me. up to you!
@TanyaMcavany
ahh that’s great that you might join TNT! it’s been such an awesome experience. i’m actually thinking of staying on for next season as a mentor :) and patty griffin=amazing. good idea.
