hello from the studio!
… i’m afraid it is happening again. only this time… i don’t have an off studio day until sunday!! i’ll have to come up with something… goodness knows what will happen if i skip an entire week. most likely i’ll be fired. this week is particularly insane because we’re trying to finish all the vocals in addition to finishing up the tracks for their final evaluation… then i get a few days off to sit with the songs and mull them over before we make our final changes. ahh!!
but back to the point– ahh!! i’m sorry! again! and this time if i make an apology video it will seem so …. done. *sigh* hopefully i’ll find a moment during the week to put up something fun. thank you all for being so patient and lovely.
oof this feels so bad leaving you with nothing exciting. but i have to go play some sounds on the song i wrote in costa rica (figured i’d make you work for it…).

oh i know. i can tell you that i finally lost my 2 toenails.

No worries on the video. You shouldn’t feel pressured/stressed to come out with a new video each week. It’s already pretty cool as it is. Not that I’m complaining about the vids, I think they’re awesome and I look forward to them all the time :) As was mentioned, everyone in the blahg keeps pretty entertained.
Sorry about the toenails. They’ll eventually grow back (hopefully, sooner rather than later!). Keep up the good work in the studio!

I USED to have numbered comments, now I do not, I don’t know why they went away and I want them back, especially since now the comments are numbering in the hundreds and it gets easy to get lost. Anyway, what this “I saw the 3 posts in the spam queue on the dashboard and figured they were mine, so the trick was to figure out why.” specifically, saw, spam queue, dashboard? I don’t seem to have one of those, but I do have something that keeps mucking about with spellings, that actually makes the wrong/missing/extra, and sometimes it seems to even be all fine until a couple or so text lines later - I’d almost swear that it can happen once the post comment is depressed, but as I only had that editing tool v briefly when I informed Misa of it a while ago, I can do nothing about them, so left to posterity as:/ fail, like our last blahg is likely to stay as being regarding breaking records, though I feel that it was of much better quality than the reigning one = still superlative blahg, so tis 1 2 save bro! 8D
PS Another weird thing about these altered spaces, characters, words and I think now even some characters that are used in code too are yoinked out, is that I don’t/never put on a spell-checker!
PPS I’m down to hoping a bath will aid the onset of a good sleep now!

Plus, I get destination ones and music ones too = some pop up blocker (on highest block setting too) I’ve got eh!:)) Oh and by the sound of it, the level of program that you’re hooking on to has been plaguing me too, wherever or homebased! Well, not telecommuting today, so in the office and lab. Much piled up over the break and I’m shuffling through the chores/paperwork/research projects. So to spend my time more productively as opposed to the more-leisurely pace at home, I will check in to the kination, but not as often.

Yes, quantity can effect quality and we don’t need mass production. It’s fun to break records, but it’s a wholly American trait to overextend ourselves and spread it too thinly. I think our dear Kina would be better served by not allowing her blog to turn into an IM service. Nevertheless, conversations here are good, or there wouldn’t so many, so onward!

I think it is great that you are busy and I hope that your worry over us is not a distraction for you. In normal circumstances when one gets busy there are times for delegation of duties so obligations on all fronts can be met. I am not sure if that fits your style, but it is something to think about.

My word, over the past couple of weeks I have not seen so many comments over so many things in a long while. I don’t think I can catch up on all that has been said. If on average there are 100+ comments a day then the 600 mark will easily be reached, dare I say the 800 mark would be within grasp.

To whom it may concern: I just made a video where I’m playing the goldfish song with Kina in the background, not perfect, but since I only started practicing it today, I was quite happy with the result.

These are better than any field guide I have seen. I hope you are putting together a coffee-table guide of Finland’s wildlife.

I might go through Kina withdrawal. I have this rule that from Thanksgiving night until Christmas night I only let myself listen to Christmas music. I’ve decided to let myself cheat by watching the new blog posts, but it looks like this is the wrong time. If I hadn’t grabbed I Know Who Took the Milk and Cookies (cough - second request- cough) last year I’d be 100% Kina-free, which is just no way to live :( But, as always, we all understand.
@thuff7: It seems like I had a couple more of my patented Kinagrannis.com memories from a week or so ago but I’ve forgotten. Once I remember them I’ll post.

I don’t know if you have already, but a good starting point is going through the archives from start to finish, which extends long before the Super Bowl contest. That’s what I did around that time, and seeing what Kina was like before then is actually what turned me into a full-fledged fan.
Most of my memories probably aren’t too exciting in retrospect, haha. The most exciting stuff for me, off the top, is probably from 2 or 3 Stickam shows and I think 2 internet radio shows. By the way, you’ll discover that Kina’s the master of posting on here while being interviewed.

if you saw kina at a boba counter, would you:
1. fall on your knees and scream ‘OMG, IT’S KINA GRANNIS!’
2. open your mouth to scream but remain speechless as you tremble with excitement
3. act cool and pretend that you didn’t know who she is by asking her what flavors are good
4. introduce yourself from the blah(g) and offer to buy her a drink
5. ask her to autograph your boba cup
6. ask her if she’s Marie Digby as a joke
7. start talking to your friend as though you know David Choi, hoping she might hear you
8. faint
9. ask her to take a photo with you and to sing for you
10. just sit there because you ‘think’ it’s her but you’re not sure so you just STARE

I´m selling my photos too, but in reality that´s such a marginal area of photography that very few can make it their main source of income. My main work is research, and nature photography is what I do mainly to remain sane, and only secondly to get money… at least at the moment.
