…and why should I join?
I’m glad you asked!
The Street Team is basically Kina’s grassroots publicity team. Since she’s launching this album without a major label backing, it’s going to be all up to you guys—her fans—to spread the word.

Some examples of basic things you might do: Call radio stations to request songs, put stickers and posters around your town, share music with your friends, bring friends to shows (if given the opportunity), give a nice looking stranger a one-song cd, give cds to your local venues or coffee shops for them to play during work hours, help promote if a show ever comes to your area, help spread word in online forums and bulletin boards. Those are all basic things you can do day-to-day, whenever. There will also be a lot of very fun creative projects that we’ll all get in on together in order to create something really cool. Members are encouraged to share potential ideas as well as successful experiences they have along the way.
Some examples of basic things we’ll do for you: We’ll provide you with supplies you can use to spread the Kina gospel, including stickers, mp3s, photos you can use to create website buttons or flyers, etcetera. Occasionally there’ll even be Street-Team-only incentives to say thank you for donating your time!
A note from Kina about what the Street Team means to her:
Joining the street team is all about enthusiasm, creativity, and fun. I will never MAKE you do anything. But on the other hand, if you don’t want to do anything, well then it’d be pretty silly to be on the team. I just want to gather a group of awesome people that would like to assist in spreading the word and help carry out some fun attempts to generate attention. Mostly your “missions” will be easy and really fun, and the combined efforts of everyone getting in on it is what will make it have a big impact. I also like to think of the street team as an excuse for people to connect with other people and make the world a better place. I will probably correspond with the street team regularly to keep you informed with what is going on and let you know what can be done to help. In conclusion: I HEART STREET TEAM.
So, did that convince you? Great! Click here to go to the official Street Team registration form, fill it out, click send. It’s that easy! Kina’ll get back to you soon about your status (don’t worry, you probably won’t get rejected unless you write “I hate Kina” on your application) as soon as possible, and you’ll be given access to the street team discussions. Talk to you soon!
